Botticelli, an art exibition in Florence

A Renaissance Exibition with considerations on the economic and art systems in Florence. “Money and beauty. Bankers and the stake of vanity” is the title of the exibition which has been opened on September 17th and will close on January 22nd, 2012 at Palazzo Strozzi.
In the exibition the foundation and evolution of the bank system is emphasized, in the time where merchants became famous, creators of the expressiveness of the Renaissance.
The exibition features works by Botticelli, Pollaiolo, Beato Angelico, Della Robbia and other works of flamish painters portraying bankers and their activity.
Admittance ticket Eur 10,00, including the exibition “Declining Democracy” where 12 artists meditate on today’s society, at CCC Strozzina.
