The Village

“Il Trebbiolo” in a very ancient architectural rural structure. The first chronicles go back to over six and a half centuries ago. The presence of a settlement dates back the time of its foundation one and a half century earlier, so that we can assume that the basic structure was build about 800 to 900 years ago, in the XII century.

No document reveal the name of the founder. Anyway, a series of data indicate a member of the Pazzi family. All data are from the Catasto documents of 1427, the most ancient property archive of the town of Florence and its surrounding territories.

This reveals that in 1427 our structure and the relating land was surrounded by properties owned by the Pazzi family. Therefore, as that dinasty was historically wealth, and had its origins in the same area as Il Trebbiolo, it is logical to assume that Il Trebbiolo was built by members of that family.
